Tara Dean began her career as an actor and trained at the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School, London. On leaving Sylvia’s she studied Speech and drama with LAMDA, film at the University of London and lawat the College of Law, London. The first film that she produced, Maybe Older, won two Fuji Film awards.

On leaving film school, Tara worked as the assistant to producer Paul Raphael (Anita and Me, Rogue Trader) before setting up Vroom Ltd- a film and digital media production company formed with Robert Pietri, which has a slate of films in development.

Tara is an entertainment lawyer having practised at London City Firm Bates Wells & Braithwaite from 2003 - 2007.  She has recently relocated to NYC.

Tara is on the BBC Film Network Industry Panel.
